New Year’s Eve message from the Lebanese police

Lebanon’s Interior Minister, Marwan Charbel, has just appeared in a live television conference, assuring citizens that “the streets will be safe tonight.”
He added:
“Go out tonight, have fun, don’t drink and drive, don’t argue with each other and please, please do not shoot in the air. Someone could get hurt.”
Apparently there wasn’t much to say about that explosion that killed seven people four days ago. Or its perpetrators who remain on the loose.
